Some Frockin' Good Finale Party Music with Little Sister

We're starting to see the home straight for the capital's first Frocktober and here at Frocktober Canberra, we're determined to see that we end the month in as spectacular a fashion as possible.  How better than with our fabulously exclusive Finale Party presented by Flint Dining Room at New Acton!  (Why not grab yourself a ticket? We'd just love to see you there.)

As part of our swingingly smooth afternoon party, we've been lucky enough to secure the services of one of Canberra's best local bands, Little Sister and we thought we'd swing the frock spot around and shine it on this charming, stylish and quite fabulous ensemble.

Little Sister are cheeky, a bit glamorous and most certainly up to something. Their eclectic style incorporates quirky pop, tinged with 1940s swing, strong rhythms, and some colourful blues and soul, thrown in for fun. Formed in 2008, the band features singer/lyricist Ellen Kimball, whose distinctive vocal style has been described as ‘part Frente, part soul sister.’

Little Sister also features Alex Carder on keys, and Tim Bowyer on trumpet who share a background in Cuban, and jazz music Their current focus is on songwriting and preparation for their first EP. Little Sister plan on expanding their line-up to include drums, bass and guitar in the coming months.

Picture yourself sipping on a glass of french bubbly, sampling the award winning canapes from the Flint kitchen in the most wonderful company on a gorgeous Sunday afternoon.  Why not listen to a live version of Little Sister's song "FLUNG" at www.reverbnation.com/littlesist3r and make that picture a little more fabulous, a little more real?

We're so thrilled that the band are able to help us celebrate our amazing successes.  Hope to see you there!
