Taking the Frocktober Challenge: Online Sponsorship and Donations

Calling all Frockettes and Frockerfellas! You asked for it and we answered: online sponsorship and donations are now available for your Frocktober efforts.

Choose your challenge and get started.

Decide if you want to frock up for a day, a week, or the whole month and start looking for sponsors. Frocktober has to work for you and your lifestyle so make the challenge your own.

We've set up an online personal sponsorship page through the secure site Everyday Hero. When you join the Frocktober Canberra team, you'll be asked to set up your own page, with your personal fund raising target and then guided through getting the word out to your friends and families whether by email, facebook, twitter or widgets you can place on your website.

How to register

1. Click on this link: http://www.everydayhero.com.au/frocktober_canberra

2. Click on 'Join this team'.

3. Enter all your registration details.

4. At some point, you'll get asked for the team password in order to join the team. The password is: frocktober2010

5. Send it out to all your friends (using one of the easy methods) letting them know you're supporting the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation this Frocktober. 

6. Check back to see our numbers climb! The community support has just been incredible so we're very confident that our target for this year of $10,000 for the OCRF is achievable.

Some tips:

• Make it your own! Use photos or images that matter to you to personalise your fundraising page.
• Send the page (and the password!) to any friends who might be interested in taking the Frocktober challenge with you.
• Tell your story!  Why does this matter to you?  People respond to story, it's a very powerful way of connecting.
• Tell us about your challenge! Frockettes are the most exciting part of the month for us here at Frocktober Canberra, if you're blogging about your efforts, tell us and we'll link to you.  We're looking for pictures of our fabulous Frockettes all through the month.  We can't wait to celebrate you!
