20th Century Joy Donates 5% of all Buy It Now Sales to Frocktober this weekend

Here at Frocktober Canberra, we are simply being swept away by the amazing people who are wanting to help raise funds for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF).

We were recently contacted by Joy Cornish, owner of 20th Century Joy, an online ebay store specialising in vintage clothing and accessories.

Joy wrote:
"I feel VERY passionate about the lack of accurate early diagnosis/screening tests: 20 years ago I was diagnosed with '1st Stage' Ovarian Cancer - I'm 49 now.. It was a mis-diagnosis, but it freaked the crap out of me.. 2 years later 2 friends died from Cancer 'of everything' - the primary cancer they had was believed to be Ovarian; one friend [40 years old] lived 3 weeks after her diagnosis and one [36yo] about 3 months. Both left 2 boys in their early teens.

I live in Young, so 1.5 hours from Canberra - you you guys are 'my locals'!!"

This weekend Joy is doing a major sale, listing high quality items throughout the weekend and 5% of all her Buy It Now Sales will be donated to the OCRF through Frocktober Canberra.

Click here for Joy's ebay store  or join her on Facebook.

We here at Frocktober Canberra thank Joy for her bravery in sharing her story with us and her generosity in supporting Frocktober.
