The night was opened by Frocktober Canberra Chairwoman, Amy Moon and Gold Sponsor, Diana Ryan of Bliss Key Communication who reminded the crowd just why we've all gotten together to support this great cause.
As the bubbles flowed, it was time to get down to the important part of the evening, the Frock Comps!
Frocktober Canberra Ambassadors Senators Kate Lundy and Gary Humphries were on hand to judge the Best Frock Male and Female with Best Complete Look being judged by Diana and Best Vintage by Amy.
Senator Lundy had a tough job on her hands with numerous frockafellas being secure enough to strut their stuff in frocks of all shapes and sizes. Thankfully the Senator was able to rise to the tasks with her customary skill and aplomb.
Senator Humphries showed his sense of the occasion announcing two runner ups as well as winner.
As always King O'Malleys staff showed their support with one handsome bar boy even brave enough to tackle a frock as his working attire.
Ambassador Danielle Post of Win News managed to come straight from reading the news to join the party, a big thanks to Danielle.
The patrons at O'Malleys dug deep - we raised over $500.00 last night from donations and badge sales, what a brilliant way to start Frocktober!
Now, on to "An Evening Frocktacular" at Thoroughbred Park this Thursday from 6pm. Hurry tickets are moving quickly! Grab one now from http://frocktober.org/frock-fringe/.
Thanks again to all the Frockettes and Frockafellas who joined us last night! It was a frockin' good way to start!
