Another Amazing Auction Prize

Throughout Frocktober, our wonderful Silver Sponsor, Hilary Wardhaugh of Hilary Wardhaugh Photography has been documenting our fabulous events all over Canberra. She has been amazingly generous, providing prizes for best dressed for the majority of our events.   However, Hilary has not been satisfied at stopping there.  She has just donated an intimate boudoir portrait session worth $580 for us to auction at our amazing finale party.  Hilary's work is intimate, natural and truly celebrates the beauty of her subjects.  It's an amazing prize (some of us here at Frocktober Canberra may be counting our pennies to see what we can do ourselves!) and the winner will be very very lucky!

Check out some of the images that Hilary has shot throughout the month or "like" Hilary Wardhaugh Photography on Facebook to check  out many many more shots.

Dawn Fraser for Frocktober!

There are few names in Australian sporting history as revered and beloved as Dawn Fraser.  Imagine just how gobsmacked we were when we opened the Frocktober Canberra inbox recently to find an email from Dawn herself, offering support for the work being done for the Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation (OCRF) through Frocktober.

Dawn had seen what we were doing through coverage in the Canberra Times (thanks Canberra Times!) and wanted to help.  With women's health being one of the key messages of Frocktober, it makes perfect sense that an Australian sporting legend would be interested in helping out particularly with Dawn being such a supporter of charitable endeavours.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Dawn has donated two memorabilia collages (one for us here in Canberra and another for Melbourne) to be auctioned.  These collages contain her personal memorabilia, which as never been made available for auction before.  The pieces are both limited editions with autographs, photos, gold medallions, pins and more. The lucky winners will also receive a personal letter from our National Living Treasure herself.

“For the past 40 years I have been asked to host or attend fund-raising events all over the country,” Dawn said. “I do my best to help, but it is impossible to get to everyone” .

“These two collages are very special to me, being the 1st and 2nd I have personally produced. They represent a time in my life that was full of hardship, perseverance, hard work and good fun. This combination ironically led me to achieving my ultimate goal…GOLD!”

Dawn's collage will be part of the silent auction being held at the exclusive Frocktober Finale Party presented by the Flint Dining Room, New Acton on the 31st of October.
